While power prices in Thailand are rising, incidents of electricity theft by Bitcoin mining farms are becoming more common. On Sunday, December 25, police raided a two-story building with two storefronts in search of an illicit bitcoin mining operation.
The theft has been ongoing for nine months and has resulted in losses of around one million baht, or approximately 28,757 USD.
