Gone are the days when you had to sit down and cram through multiple photographs of same thing just to select that best one. Starting today, Instagram will let you create a “swipeable photo set” in which you can insert up to 10 photos or videos. What could be a more classic way of sharing related photos? Each photo set is like a mini album in itself. This feature will be available all over the globe in few weeks.
This feature is already being loved by people who tried it. Not just that it is simple, it’s a great way to cut down redundancy. Just one photo set to display all your photos based on a common theme instead of having them spread out over multiple posts. These swipeable photo sets are great for showcasing an event from start till the end, a recipe, or activity. The icon to select multiple photos is available while uploading the photos. It also allows you to change the order of the photos, apply filter to individual photos or all of them, and post under single caption for now. A square like icon on the post indicates “swipe to see more”, while in the feed this is indicated by blue dots at the bottom of the post. This update has been rolled out with Instagram version 10.9 for both Android and iOS.
