Samsung had recently stopped buying processors for their flagship devices from Qualcomm, so both the S6 and S6 edge will sport Samsung’s own processor. According to Samsung, S6 line will boast the first ever 14nm mobile processor with 64-bit platform. Both S6 and S6 edge will have UFS 2.0 flash memory and LPDDR4 memory system. This will enable the devices to perform better without being too power intensive.
The S6 line will be highly secure as they are built on the KNOX platform which offers defense-grade protection that guards the devices against any kind of malicious attack. The S6 n S6 edge has 5.1 inch quad HD screen with 2560×1440 resolutions. The phones have a 16 MP primary rear camera and a 5 MP secondary camera. The phones will be available in 32 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB option. Another noteworthy feature is that both phones support wireless charging.
Samsung Pay
Samsung also finally announced the much talked about Samsung Pay which is seen as a direct competition to the iPhone maker’s Apple Pay. It will be operational in the US in the second half of this year. Samsung Pay will support MST or Magnetic Secure Transmission as well as NFC technology.
