MWC 2015: Starhome Mach Collaborates with SAP®

Mobile World Congress (MWC 2015) – An agreement, during February 2015, has been signed by the SAP® Mobile Services division and the Starhome Mach, the international leader in clearing services and mobile inter carrier network, which will make the SAP to provide the LTE steering of roaming solution of Starhome Mach to its SAP IPX 365 mobile service customers. According to the deal, Starhome Mach will be providing the value added services to SAP for further enhancing the SAP IPX 365 mobile services. SAP would be offering, as part of the agreement, the IPN LTE (Intelligent Preferred Network®) to the SAP IPX 365 mobile services customers. IPN LTE is normally used by the home networks for connecting the mobile devices of their roamers to preferred visited networks, allowing the operators to regulate the roaming user experience and competitive price roaming tariffs.

The CEO of Starhome Mach, Tal Meirzon, said that there is an increasing need of their value added services as the inter carrier market undergoes swift change with the technology moving towards all IP. As a result they are pleased in teaming up with SAP and predicting that with the help of this cooperation, the operators would experience the easier implementation and the integration of LTE steering solutions and SAP IPX 365 from Starhome Mach.

There are around 130 deployments of Starhome Mach’s steering solution worldwide. Two years running and voted best in the market, it facilitates the operators in delivering the high level service and the better user experience by minimizing service disruptions between the LTE and 3G, GSM, solutions. The LTE compliant solutions of the Starhome Mach promote the best possible user experience by enabling the subscribers to roam easily in the hybrid networks. Now the operators, in addition, have the unique ability in optimizing their steering results better with the help of the integration of the clearing data of the Starhome Mach into the IPN LTE system.

Collaborating with Starhome Mach would assist them in strengthening their SAP IPX 365 mobile offerings. They aim to add, with the help of this deal, multiple value added services to their IPX infrastructure for facilitating the operators in better management and monetization of their roaming services.
