Selma Movie Review

Selma is a very bold movie made which revolves around the life of Martin Luther King Jr. He was an icon and a great leader with wisdom and a talent for inspirational speeches and love for the people of America and he fought hard for equality for the citizens and he strongly was against discrimination based on color or race. Martin Luther King’s speeches were impeccable and factual and due to legal issues many of his speeches and the notes were not allowed to be duplicated for any purpose. But there was a movie which was made in close resemblance but was released back in 1978.

The director of Selma is Ava DuVernay who is talented and majored in studies of African American Studies and also has a major in English and she has achieved praises in her direction. She has boldly portrayed the story with great aid from Paul Webb. They both together have brought to life on screen the inspirational battle between King’s principles and battles for equal rights in elections against the political party of President Lyndon Johnson.
