The republicans firmly back the lawsuit whereas the democrats have called the lawsuit a waste of taxpayer’s time and money. It is also being believed by some that this might be the first step leading up to the impeachment of the president. However, the House speaker John Boehner and his top consultants think that the suit, in no way jeopardizes the position of the president and will not lead to his impeachment. The vote went against Obama 225 to 201 and it was a strictly party line vote.

The main reason behind the lawsuit, according to the Republicans is that Obama is willingly choosing what laws to enact and hat not to. The republicans led by John Boehner have argued for last few years that Obama has not performed up to the mark when it comes to upholding law and order. They have been saying that President Obama has changed immigration laws, ignored the requirements of the Affordable Care Act and left out the important laws which were to be implemented. Obama is being cornered mainly on the failures of the Affordable Care Act as it was announced to help all the citizens get a life insurance and proper medical care. It is being said that Obama has delayed several portions of Obamacare in the past few years.

Republicans have opposed all these actions that are allegedly being undertaken by the Obama government. The democrats have emphasized that the lawsuit makes no sense and Obama is working for the betterment of the law and country at all times.
