President Obama is not the only one who is involved with the music, but the First Lady is now also in it. Recently a song was order by Obama titled “This Is For My Girls” from Diane Warren. Warren has written many famous songs including Celine Dion’s “Because You Loved Me” and Lady Gaga’s “Til It Happens To You” which was also nominated for Oscar.

The song is now available for download and features singers including Missy Elliott, Zendaya, Kelly Clarkson, Janelle Monae and others.

The proceeds raised by the song will go to the Peace Corps Let Girls Learn Fund. This program was launched in 2015 by Mrs. Obama and Peace Corps for helping young women seeking higher education.

Warren said in a Billboard interview, “It’s kind of like ‘We Are the World’ meets ‘Lady Marmalade’ with these strong voices and strong women. When was the last time you heard a song like this or a record that had this many amazing divas on it? I’m really proud.”

“We are the World” was released in 1985 featuring many artists including Huey Lewis, Bruce Springsteen and Cyndi Lauper. The proceeds from this song were used for battling poverty in Africa. Another song released on the same lines was “Do They It’s Christmas” which helped in raising money for the Ethiopian hunger crisis. It featured Phil Collins, U2 singer Bono, Sting and many others. “Christmas” raised £8 million and went on to raise more than $75 million.
