If you want to enjoy free and unlimited internet anywhere, don’t think that it’s possible only in a dream. It might actually come true if a project named “Outernet” being worked on, by a non-profit organization based in New York tastes success.
The organization Media Development Investment Fund is planning to launch miniature sized satellites into low earth orbits to transmit Data from several hundred stations which would allow anyone with a hand held GPRS enabled device to receive data.

The organization is planning to have the prototype satellites ready by this June and plans to launch the initial set of satellites by mid 2015. As the task of manufacturing and launching a Satellite, no matter how small it is, is an expensive affair, we will have to wait and see (with our fingers crossed) to what extent this plan practically works out.
