EditorA state-of-the-art multiplex has been opened at Vibrant city of Vijaywada called “Capital Cinemas”. The project is joint venture of Prasads Group and Suresh Projects. The multiplex is spread over an area of 1 lakh sq. feet and has 6 screens. The head of Suresh productions, Daggubati Suresh said this is the best multiplex in the state. Today the multiplex was inaugurated by CM N Chandrababu Naidu in presence of many other dignitaries. Suresh said that alongside the multiplex, the ‘Trendset Mall’ will also be inaugurated. The mall hs now claimed the title of Vijaywada’s largest mall. Both the multiplex and the shopping mall are located at Benz Circle.

The famous film producer said that his father late D Rama Naidu always wanted to do something big for this city. The project has cost around Rs. 20 crore. Vijaywada has been the film capital of the state since few decades and that is why the name “Capital Cinemas” has been choosen. He said, “On an average filmgoer likes to have in a theatre is value for the money he is spending. Entertainment in a more pleasing ambience with state-of-the-art equipment used for a great movie viewing experience on big silver screen fits the bill. Our effort – Capital Cinemas – is in that direction.”
