Sony Smartphones
Three new Xperia models are expected to be released by the Japanese electronics giant. The “Xperia Z5” will be released in three variants, possibly – standard, compact and premium versions. Each of these is reported to have a primary camera of 23 megapixels. Like previous ones, these will also be water and dust proof. The premium version will have a screen resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels – a whopping 4K resolution! Till now this standard has only been seen on high-quality TVs.
Samsung Circular Smartwatch
Samsung has already announced Gear S2 ahead of IFA. Till now Samsung has always been holding a pre-IFA event to launch its tablets and phablets but this time things might be different. It is really putting efforts in getting the device to the eyes of the audience ahead of Apple’s iPhone 7 launch. Gear S2 will have a round face and good battery life. Phone and watches apart there would also be other new products including a huge 4K TV, a 4K Blu-ray player and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.
Microsoft
Microsoft has a whole new range of Lumia Handsets to show even though they were launched prior IFA. It might also unveil first Windows 10 based Lumia handset. However there is also a rumour that Microsoft might save all its phones for another event so you might get none to see.
LG
We might get to see a phablet – “LG G4 Pro” successor to G Pro 2. This might be a straight rival to Samsung’s Galaxy Note 5. Further LG promises to show a little of “future TV” – another UHD 4k TV.
Motorola
From Motorola we can expect to see an upgraded version of Moto G phone. Earlier this year Motorola already launched a Moto G 4G LTE. Another possibility is that Motorola might launch its Moto 360 2 Smartwatch.
Huawei
A lot of rumours have been going around that Huawei will be building next Nexus phone but unfortunately we won’t get to see that at IFA. It is expected that Huawei will launch its “Mate 8” – a phablet with 6 inch screen, 2K resolution, 3GB RAM, 32GB expandable memory, octo-core chipset, 16 megapixels camera and a fingerprint scanner.
