Samsung Galaxy note 5 is here and it looks good

The Galaxy Note 5 is here and it looks pretty impressive. It’s another phone in the Galaxy series Note but unlike any of its predecessors. The phone has received upgrades in terms of design, hardware and features which are necessary for any high end phablet these days.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has come a long way and it took it five years to get to the beautiful design that it has got now. The only thing that needs to be said about it is that the wait was worth it. However, the phone does bear a striking resemblance to Galaxy S6 and it is possible that these two phones might have been tailored simultaneously. The fabric used for Note 5 is premium quality. The build quality is debatable at some points as it gives the feeling similar to an iPhone but Note makes up for it in other areas.

Samsung has carried over many of the key features of S6 to the Note 5. The phablet sports Samsung’s own Exynos 7420 chipset, a 64-bit, 14 nm octacore-four 2.1 GHz cores for everyday tasks and four 1.5 GHz cores for low power use combined with a 4GB LPDDR4 memory. That’s not only plenty of RAM but also the fastest one. The phone works on Android 5.1 Lollipop and there might also be an update for the new version of Android in the future. Apart from the hardware, Note 5 has a display size of 5.7” super AMOLED panel running at 2560*1440 resolutions. When it comes to the dimensions and the weight, Note 5 has been trimmed down to 153.2 X 76.1 X 7.6 mm and 171 grams. Note 5 also does not disappoint when it comes to connectivity options and speedy transfers. Supported with Cat.9 LTE, it can achieve download speeds of up to 450 mbps, only if your network can handle it.

For a while, the users have been praising Samsung’s work with the S Pen and also looked forward to seeing it in Note 5. Samsung has provided the new pen, with a slender and roughly 4.5 “ long stick which now comes with a new docking mechanism that makes a click sound when inserted back. The camera has been good for Note series and it is no surprise that it is near perfect on Note 5.
With all its features Note 5 is a catch but it comes at a price. Samsung has priced the phone at around $600 for 32 GB, about $800 for the 64 GB model.
