Apple iPods have always been equipped with good hardware which makes them a good investment and with the new device; people will be able to enjoy music in a whole new way. With the launch of Apple Music service, customers from all over the world will be able to listen to the playlists that have been created by some of the most talented music experts. The user will also be able to comment or like the backstage photos or videos of their favorite music artists. Apple’s vice president, Greg Joswiak said, ”iPod touch gives customers around the world access to Apple Music, the AppStore and iOS, the world’s most advanced operating system, starting at just $199. With the big A8 chip and the 8 megapixel iSight camera, customers can experience next-level gameplay, take even more beautiful photos and enjoy their favorite music, TV shows and movies.” An important thing about the A8 chip is that it is the same one that is being used in the latest iPhone 6. This guarantees better gaming for long hours and good battery life which is the main issue of smartphone devices.
Apple’s App Store is available in 155 countries worldwide and gives the people access to 1.5 million apps across 24 categories. After acquiring Beats earlier, Apple launched the Apple Music service along with the radio station Beats 1, which is Apple’s first ever live radio station. This is also being used as a platform for the artists to connect with their fans worldwide. Apple Music is available to the users through the music app and they’re invited to a 3months trial after which a $9.99/ month membership fee will be charged.
The new iPod touch will start with $199 for the 16 GB model, $249 for the 32 GB model and $299 for the 64 GB one. All the iPods will be available in the new set of announced colors on the Apple store online. In addition to this, a 128 GB model of the iPod will be available for the first time at a price of $399.
