Find a career at the thing you love most – Mark Zuckerberg

Working for Facebook is as easy or as difficult as impressing Mark Zuckerberg. During the Barcelona Mobile World Congress, Mark Zuckerberg, founder and CEO of Facebook, was asked what his most important criterion was, for employing someone in his company. His answer was that he would hire somebody only if he thought he could work for that person. It is already a well-known fact that Mr. Zuckerberg is retiring from the social network at the young age of 30. So, in case Facebook did not exist or if it is forced to stop now, Mr. Zuckerberg would gladly work for that person according to him. The group of people for which Mr. Zuckerberg would gladly work includes Sheryl Sandberg and Javier Olivan, who introduced Zuckerberg at the Mobile World Congress. According to Zuckerberg, this is a fool-proof rule for employing and this would ensure that an employer never goes wrong in building his team. This is also important to make sure that all members of the team think and act in a similar manner and share the same values.

Mark Zuckerberg also noted that Facebook is not a place where anyone can work. The values of the company are very strong in terms of bringing about a revolution in the area of social networking. Although he is thinking of leaving the field, he is still known to work on projects like Internet.org whose main objective is to connect people all over the world and allow businesses to communicate effectively. He said that if the candidate believes the same things he does, then Facebook is open for him/her. Otherwise, it would be a wise decision to look for something else. Mr. Zuckerberg also expressed his love for Spanish ham, saying that he keeps visiting Spain probably because of the ham. He amused everyone present at the even by recounting about the time when Javier Olivan mailed him a piece of ham as a birthday present.
