MWC 2015: Essence to introduce WeR@Home™ in Italy

Essence, the leader in providing M2M, safety and security solutions and cloud – based living solutions will be introducing its new home management platform WeR@Home which is the connected home solution. The project is aimed at bringing the Internet of Things in the homes of their customers. It aims at targeting the Telecom Italia’s huge consumer base in Europe where it is the largest communications services provider. With the use of Essence users will be able to launch a smart home management system through an application. The whole system is divided in to 2 major parts: a simple mobile app and home management system. However the system would take 2 – 4 months to go live in market. Customer s of Telecom Italia would be able to take advantage of this system. It is wireless and operates on battery. It would take not more than 20 minutes to install and start automation. Thus homes can be managed remotely by virtue of its intuitive and easy to use mobile apps. This solution is very much flexible as it can be scaled and is modular in nature.

Therefore, allowing Telecom Italia to start with the basic functionalities and keep adding more features as the development progresses further. It will also continue to add more options as the consumer base for Essence increases. It has also developed a management tool for remote updating. The tool also makes sure that once the system has been installed, if any problem occurs you won’t require calling technicians and therefore no maintenance costs.

The system was design keeping in mind the simplicity requirements of both the service providers and the consumers. This end – to – end approach packs home management, security and safety in one place. WeR@Home will be exhibited at Mobile World Congress – MWC, Hall 5 along with some Connected – Living technologies.
