CES 2015: LG unveils evolution of its curved Smartphone G Flex2

LG has always been pushing boundaries of technology and this time by launching G Flex2 this Monday at International CES 2015. The original G Flex did earn positive remarks for its out – of – the – box context and design. The new version improves up on it in many ways. It has a more sophisticated design, delivers fast performance and is more convenient to use. The G Flex2 boasts of a more stylish curve and sleek design. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor having octa – core 64 – bit capable CPUs that provide you a smooth and fast performance. The 5.5 inch display supports full HD. The updated software offers many new features such as Glance view and Gesture view. The “self – healing” back cover of the G Flex has also been used in this one and is more effective. G Flex2 has broken the record of its predecessor i.e., curve profile of 700mm radius. The Smartphone has curves ranging from 400mm to 700mm radius spread from front to back and top to bottom. This makes G Flex2 look more dynamic. However, this new look has been designed for better convenience rather than just for the looks.

This ergonomic design helps in reducing the distance between the microphone and your mouth and thus provides a better voice pick up. It also makes it easy to grip. The big radius provides a great viewing experience no matter from which angle you view it. On the other side, the back’s 650mm radius allows the phone to fit easily in your pocket. The resolution has also been increased to 1080p HD giving it more precision than previous G Flex. The curved rear of the Smartphone features a spin hairline pattern showcasing the device’s brilliant polish.

The device runs on Android 5.0 and the graphics are supported by Adreno 430. This makes this smartphone incredibly efficient for multimedia intensive applications. The snapdragon processor has 3×20 MHz carrier aggregation support that provides you better connectivity. The cover glass used in G Flex2 is 20% stronger. The back is self healing i.e., it automatically copes with the regular scratches and nicks and keeps your phone looking new. The healing time has been reduced from 3 minutes to 10 seconds.

Another innovation that has been integrated in to this device is Laser Auto Focus camera that was first used in LG G3. This enables you to capture best shots in dim lights also. This combined with OIS and dual LED flash offers the best standalone camera. The software has been optimized especially for the device. Its fast charging feature allows you to charge the device (battery 3000mAh) in under 40 minutes. G Flex2 will be available for purchase in Korea by the end of this month and will be followed by market releases in other countries. The device comes in 2 colors – Flamenco red and Platinum silver. G Flex2 just not has looks to stun but powerful features that keep it at edge of the Smartphone technology.
