Subscription service launched for Nintendo’s Amiibo’s. Tuesday was followed by two big announcements from the popular gaming giant. Nintendo now will give the option of buying the Amiibos. These are the NFV enabled figurines that are used for unlocking features of the games. Amibos can now be brought for a monthly subscription. The subwscription can be made with Loot Crate the online delivery service. The amibos were announced earlier this year at E3. The figurines were introduced as an all new concept after taking a hint from Disney Infinity and Skylanders. These physical toys are capable of interacting with the games via NFC. With the Loot Crate subscription you can have 10 preselected Amiibos which are spread across 3 packages. The pricing options for the subscriptions haven’t been announced although Engadget has guessed the price to be around $12.99. This is equal to the price of one Amiibo.
Getting 3 at the price of one is a great offer. However, other special packages will cost a little more than that. Apart from this tie – up with Loot Crate, the second big announcement was the launch of Nintendo 2DS portable consoles in 2 new colors namely Crystal Blue and the Crystal Red. The twist is the transparent handheld console which dates back to the 90s. Therefore the circuits in the console are visible. Same changes were made to the Game Boy Color and the Game Boy Pocket while they were being circulated. The crystal blue console will ship with the Pokemon Alpha Sapphire and the crystal red console will ship with Pokemon Omega Ruby at a price of $99.99. The launching date of both the games is same and is priced at $39.99.
