The only difference between the two models of the newly launched phone is that Xperia E3 dual is dual SIM and the other one is not. Both models have a 4.50 inch capacitive touchscreen. The display has 480×854 resolution. The phone runs on the latest version of Android OS; Android 4.4 KitKat and is powered by a 1.2 Ghz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It also has an Adreno 305 GPU.
The phone comes with 1 GB RAM and 4GB internal memory which is expandable to 32 GB with microSD card. The primary rear camera is 5 megapixel and the phone also has a 0.3 megapixel front camera, so users who like taking selfies might be disappointed with the phone.the phone comes bundled with Sony’s own photo editing apps.
The “shake to start” is one of the new features introduced by Sony, it allows users to access customized apps by flicking the phone. The phone has numerous connectivity options; 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi, A-GPS with Glonass, USB 2.0, FM radio with RDS, Bluetooth 4.0, and a 3.5mm jack. 4G LTE is also supported in certain markets. The 2330 mAh battery gives a decent 12 and half hour talk time. The company has not announced the price of this handset but it is expected to be quite affordable and value for money.
