Apple Updates MacBook Pro with Retina Display

Apple has ultimately decided to upgrade Retina Macbook Pro lineup. Both the 15 inch and the 13 inch models have got upgraded CPU’s and memory. The updates were rumored after an image was posted on a Chinese forum, which gave rise to the speculation that Apple might be releasing the upgraded versions of the notebooks.

Here’s how they have upgraded the 15-inch model, you will get an Intel Core I 7 2.2 GHz quad-core CPU, along with 16 GB RAM. The Intel Iris Pro Graphics comes along with a 256 GB PCIe; this model has been priced at $ 1,999. On the other hand the top end model which was priced $2,599 will have the Core iquad –core processor running at 2.5 GHz, with a 512 GB PCIe SSD. It will also have 16 GB RAM along with the Nvidia GeForce GT 750M graphics with the Intel Iris Pro Graphics chip inbuilt into the CPU.

That’s not all, if you wish to, you may also add a 1TB PCIe SSD to all the models, along with a Core i7 CPU, whose Turbo Boost clock tops out at GHz, please do keep in mind the last option is only available in the 15-inch models.

Now let’s talk about the upgrades in the 13-inch models, all the models have 8GB of RAM, as compared to the 15-inch which has been upgraded to 16GB. The CPU clock speed is now supposed to 200MHz faster. In the 13-inch model, you will now get the Core i5 dual-core processors, 8GB RAM, Intel Iris Graphics. Apple has also brought about the up gradation, within the price range models. Both the $1,299 and $1,499 versions will now have CPUs clocked at 2.6GHz. The $1,799 model will have 2.8GHz run processor. The $1,299 unit will have a 128GB PCIe SSD. The $1,499 and $1,799 models will have 256 and 512 GB PCIe SSDs.

As if this was not enough Apple has also reduced the price of 1one non-Retina Macbook Pro, 13-inch model to $1,099 from $1,199. This being the second MacBook refresh of the year.
