Facebook recently announced that it will be cleaning up its News Feed to curb the spams. The social networking giant has been tweaking about the way the feeds appear on our home page because it got a big negative response for a feature that was introduced earlier this year in February. This simply means that there will be a change in spam count. It would be much better if Facebook takes measures for refreshing its advertisement laden new interface whose aim is to throw ads first to our eyes and other things later.
As per a change rolled by the company, when a page is tagged by some other page, those who like the tagged page will also see post regardless of whether they like it or not. Getting irrelevant posts from the pages that we don’t like is quite an annoying thing. But this change has not been stated in the latest announcement made by the company. Instead it mentioned that the emphasis is on spam reduction by cutting off the posts that explicitly ask for likes and like – baiters.
Accounts and pages that lead the users to clicking on photos or posts that in turn lead to spams or ads will be filtered. For determining a post as a spam or irrelevant, the company looks for people’s response to it. Lastly, the content that is very often circulated and posted again and again will face the same fate. But the publishers who post good quality content on their pages won’t be affected by these changes as assured by Facebook. They may experience an increase in their traffic for good.
