Amazon is said to be gearing up for the launch of its first very own 3D Smartphone this year by June according to the reports from The Wall Street Journal. The report also cited as stated in the publication of the company’s plan that the e–commerce giant has showed its 3D type imagery handset’s prototypes to some developers in San Francisco and Seattle before the release of the product in the year’s second half.
The device will put up a competition for Smartphone giants such as Samsung and Apple. The device has a screen capable of displaying images in three dimensional (as we see in a hologram) without having the user to wear special glasses. With this the Seattle based e – commerce giant hopes that their handset will carve a new edge in Samsung and Apple dominated space. However the plans for the price and design of the handset have not been decided yet. In regular trading on Friday, the company’s share fell to $311.73. This Smartphone launch is a strong sign that the company is serious about entering in to the hardware market.
With the huge acceptance of 3D television sets, the company is affirmative of getting a good positive response for the phone.
