In a groundbreaking collaboration, FIFA+ Collect is set to unveil a special digital collectible collection for the FIFA Club World Cup Saudi Arabia 2023™ in partnership with Modex. The strategic management of FIFA+ Collect will now be overseen by Modex, marking a significant milestone in their partnership.
The inaugural drop, scheduled for December 15, will feature 100 rare digital collectibles on the FIFA Collect+ platform, offering fans a chance to secure tickets for the FIFA World Cup 26™ final. An additional 900 digital collectibles will be released on the Polygon network via the OpenSea platform on December 19, capturing memorable moments from the tournament and digital versions of event memorabilia.
Kicking off on December 12 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the FIFA Club World Cup will showcase seven elite football teams, including champions from FIFA’s six confederations and the reigning Saudi Pro League champions, Al Ittihad.
FIFA Chief Business Officer, Romy Gai, expressed excitement about the collaboration with Modex, stating that it will elevate the FIFA+ Collect platform globally. The move aims to provide football enthusiasts with a unique and innovative way to connect with the sport while contributing to the growth of the digital collectibles market.
Modex CEO Francesco Abbate emphasized the significance of the collaboration, highlighting the added incentive for fans to participate by securing access to FIFA match items and the FIFA World Cup 26 final. Abbate noted that the partnership showcases the potential of Web3 technology in enhancing fan engagement and expanding participation in FIFA initiatives.
