The new android version is currently limited to these phones only and customers on other devices will have to wait a little longer. A new feature of Marshmallow is currently being talked about and is called Doze. Doze is designed to step in with a smart low-battery consuming profile when it senses that you’re not using it. If you forget to plug in your phone for charging in the night, don’t worry Doze has got your back. This new feature pays attention to when you’re not using your device by monitoring how long it has been since you’ve unlocked it or it’s not plugged in. After that, it shuts down the power consuming apps that would otherwise suck the battery of the phone dry.

Marshmallow also pays attention to how much access the apps have to your phone. Since privacy is of utmost importance when a smartphone is involved, the new android enables you to choose what all things you want the app to have access to. Google has introduced another new feature with Marshmallow, Google Now on Tap. In it’s developer conference, Google said that it’s not Android 6.0’s marquee feature but the key to Google’s mobile future. This has made switching over form app to another smother.

Android’s app drawer has been the place where all the apps you don’t want on your home screen hide until you need them. This is indeed, an effective way to clear mess. In Android 6.0, the app drawer has realigned into one long cascade, making it much easier to the eyes and thumbs. Some new hardware support, specifically for USB-C ports have been added. Android Marshmallow promises to be fun and faster than ever, but only time will tell if it exceeds the expectations of the users or not.
