Salman Khan says he was criticized for getting in ‘Bigg Boss’

Salman Khan will be returning as the host of the whole new ‘Bigg Boss’ season 9. The actor said he has faced a lot of criticism for getting involved in the controversial reality TV show. Salman has often shared his personal experience with the bigg boss contestants and has also taken tough stand in some events of the show. The 49 – year old superstar said he feels connected to the contestants and so likes to tell them when they did wrong. At a press event Salman said, “It gives me immense pleasure in guiding the contestants in the right direction. Sometimes I think why should I tell them, but then if they cross the limit it is not entertainment anymore. I get a lot of criticism for getting into the things because it is not my space.”

Salman further added, “Mr. (Amitabh) Bachchan did not react to what happened in the house, but I get involved with these people and most of them remain in touch with me after the show as well.”
He said he thought of not coming back to the show following the criticism but his love for the show forced him to come back despite criticism. He said, “After you work for three months, you get exhausted and everything keeps on coming in your head, but then there is a long association with the show, huge connect with contestants inside as well as the whole team and then you start missing the whole thing after a certain while.”

This is for the sixth that Salman will be hosting the show that will start airing from 11th October. The theme for the upcoming season has been set as “double trouble”. Salman said, “I did not agree with the theme. The team later explained the concept to me and I thought it was funny and even asked them to add something else with the ‘double’, but the team wanted ‘double trouble’, so I went ahead with it.” Already a lot of enthusiasm is being seen  among fans regarding the ninth season where 13 contestants will struggle to survive for a 100 days in the house in order to win. According to the sources the list of participants still hasn’t been finalized. Also rumor has it that all the previous 8 seasons winners will be seen in this season.
