8 Big Announcements at the Apple Event

Welcome the much awaited new iPhones! Apple made 8 big announcements at its event this Thursday including new iPhones, iPads and more! Coming to the iPhones, the specifications seem to be up to our expectations. Besides iPhones company also announced Apple TV. If you missed out anything of the event, here it is:

iPhone 6s and 6s Plus
Apple launched its 2015 flagship models – the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus. You can pre-order yours beginning 13th September. The phones will be available for sale across 130 countries starting 25th September. These devices are encased in a body made of 7000 series aircraft – grade aluminium which gives your device protection against any bendgate issues. The iPhone 6S has a 4.7-inch Retina display with a cool resolution of 1334 x 750, whereas the iPhone 6S Plus is 5.5-inch Retina display with 1920 x 1080 resolution. Both the phones are available in usual colors of Silver and Gold. However, this time Apple has introduced two new beautiful shades of Rose gold and space gray. The display has new features. First of all it’s a 3D touch display and secondly it has the next generation “Force Touch”. The iSight camera is 12 megapixels and comes with a new photography feature called Live Photos. Both the phones are powered by Apple’s new A9 processor.

Apple TV 4
The Apple TV has been revamped to include more features like Siri support, app store, gaming options and a Bluetooth remote control. The price starts at $149. Siri offers voice support such as turning on subtitles, rewinding or forwarding videos and so on.

Move to iOS
Apple launched ‘Move to iOS’ app for android users. This app can be installed and used for moving their data to iPhone.

iPad Pro and iPad mini 4
The next on the list is iPad Pro with a large 12.9 inches display with 2732 x 2048 retina display. The device measures 6.9mm in thickness and 713 grams of weight. iPad Pro too is powered by Apple’s A9X chipset offering better performance that most of the laptops. As the name suggests iPad mini 4 is thinner and has a faster processor. There is also improvement in camera quality over iPad mini 3. By virtue of faster processor it is capable of running split screen apps. You can get iPad mini 4 for $399 which is same as the iPad Air. The cost of iPad Air 2 and iPad pro is $499 and $799 respectively.

iOS 9
Though a lot has been heard about iOS 9, you can finally get it starting from 16 september. iPhone 4S, iPod and iPad users will be able to get the free update for iOS 9.

Apple Pencil
The highly anticipated Apple Pencil is also out now. It is a pressure sensitive stylus white in color priced at $99.

Smart Keyboard
This is another accessory that turns your device into a hybrid. The Smart Keyboard can be folded to form the iPad Pro cover. This keyboard can be oriented at different angles for comfortable typing and watching videos.

Apple Watch bands and WatchOS 2
New bands have been released for Apple watches. The company has also partnered with fashion industry to create third – party bands. New Sports bands will be released this fall. Apple also revealed WatchOS 2 which will start rolling out from September 16. Apple has partnered with Hermès to develop stainless steel body and leather bands such as Cuff, Single Tour and Double Tour for its watches. The Apple Watch Hermès is priced at $1,100 and has a diameter of 38 mm with single tour.
