NVidia launches a new affordable chip aimed for MOBA players

The Gaming component maker NVidia has always been a big presence in the market of Gaming. In a bold move to revolutionize gaming, NVidia announced a new graphics chip today known as the GeForce GTX 950, which is being called the most affordable yet to use the advanced Maxwell graphics architecture. The new chip has excited gamers all around the world, especially the segment of the gamers who prefer not to spend big amounts on the gaming gear but still wish to maximize their gaming experience. The timing of the chip also could not have been more perfect as everyday more and more gamers are joining the networks and gaming is at an all-time high. The GTX 950 supports the DirectX 12 applications programming interface, which is responsible for more advanced and realistic games. For the gamers who do not wish to perform heavy tasks on their PCs or wish to do moderate level of gaming, the mid-range chips are considered to be the best. These chips are perfectly able to handle multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) games like Dota 2, League of Legends and Heroes of the Storm. Popularity of MOBA has been on the rise for the last few years and is showing no signs of stopping. The user base is increasing and this could be the reason that NVidia came up with a mid-level chipset for this specific batch of gamers.

NVidia has said that the new graphics chip has a 50 per cent reduction in response time in Dota 2 when compared to the GeForce GTX 650, an NVidia graphics chip from three years ago. The GeForce GTX 950 is able to run the Dota 2 on a frame rate of 138 which is quite fast as many of the shooter games run at 60 frames per second. Also, the response time of the chip for Dota 2 interactions is only 45 milliseconds when compared to the 80 milliseconds of the older GTX 650 chipset.NVidia has said GTX 950 is the perfect gateway to gaming with DirectX 12 and it runs at 1.024 gigahertz and has a boost clock of 1.188 gigahertz.

NVidia has been careful with the pricing and priced the new chip at $159 which is very affordable and could be just the thing that the gamers need. NVidia also said that it will be releasing a new beta version of its GeForce experience software that includes a new in-game Share overlay menu. With all the new products coming up, NVidia is surely meaning to expand in the coming future.
