In the beginning content will be available in Tamil, Turkish, West African English and West African French but eventually it will be expanded to 13 languages. Users can access this service from smartphones, computer, tablets etc. an also from a traditional television set, using a set top box. They can watch HD and SD quality movies and content, completely legally.
“We used innovative advanced technology solutions for Lebara Play”, said Kirill Filippov, CEO of SPB TV. “With time-shifting and place-shifting, users can catch up with a show or a movie later or watch it from the start. They can start watching a movie on a smartphone and continue on a TV screen, and watch a TV show as it is simultaneously broadcast.”
This innovative product will allow migrant communities around the world to access content from their own countries while travelling. SPB TV and Lebara have said that they are going to continue their collaboration and add more functionality and content to Lebara Play.
