The overall look and feel is borrowed from the Moto X. Therefore, the design and style of this giant phone is somewhat familiar. On the outside it resembles a scaled – up 2014 Moto X version apart from few modifications. It has an aluminium frame with a gentle curve and Motorola trademark in the back. The device is available only in two colors and with its usual soft – touch plastic. You don’t have any options for wood or leather. In spite of its big size, Nexus 6 can be held comfortably in hand as opposed to the boxy and flat feeling you get when holding note 4. But the device cannot always be used single – handedly. Even though the style may grab your attention in the first look, the software is the real star. Android Lollipop 5.0 used in Nexus 6 is unmodified and purest android version just as envisioned by the company. Android 5.0 proves to be a real treat. It feels fresh, comfortable and modern – just like your old home has been renovated tastefully and thoroughly. Apart from the basic appearance features, Google has introduced some new slick animations and transitions that make the phone more cohesive. This is probably a beginning of androids of new kind.

There are a number of new features including security enhancements. It is somewhat at par with apple’s iPhone 6 plus. One thing better here is that there is no wastage of space since there is no tall bezel on the top. You won’t physical home button, rather there are virtual buttons including a home button, recent apps button and back button. Apart from Nexus 6, Nexus 9 tablet will also be shipped with android Lollipop. The screen resolution (1440×2560 pixels) is just brilliance (iPhone 6 plus is 1920×1080 pixels). Nexus 6’s stereo speakers deliver excellent sound quality. You would like to listen to it without any earphones. According to Google, battery offers up to 24 hours of talk time, 8.5 hours of internet use and for standby mode – 300 hours. Google has also talked about a turbo charge that would 15 minutes of charging time which is similar to the Motorola’s. The rear camera is 13 megapixels and the front ‘selfie’ camera is 2 megapixels.
