Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare to go on sale from today

The latest installment in the line of call of duty series i.e., the ‘Advanced Warfare’ is going on sale today. In this title, the video – gamers get to battle a Machiavellian villain who is none other than actor Kevin spacey. The game came out as a result of Activision Publishing’s plan to reload the popular franchise worth multibillion dollars by making the Sledgehammer Games harnessing full advantages of new capabilities of the latest Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles.

Chief executive of Activision – Eric Hirshberg said that they have followed a very different approach in this game by modifying various formulas. For example, the addition of the exoskeleton suits by Sledgehammer renders super fighting abilities to the characters and thus changes the mechanics of the shooter game. The game revolves around a whole new story and of course a new iconic character played by Kevin Spacey. In the game he plays the part of Jonathon Irons (a private contractor in military who intends to rule the world). Kevin’s movements and expressions were captured using special gear to produce a more realistic version of his virtual self.

The story of the game is set in 2054, where the military corporation run by Jonathon Irons is the dominating power. The exoskeleton suits allow gamers to play the role of soldiers possessing advance combating capabilities. The team has put in a lot of research and the game has been crafted in amazing detail. The game will be sold for $60 and has been developed especially for Microsoft and Sony consoled and for Windows PC. People who pre – ordered “Day Zero” edition can start enjoying their game one day early with some digital bonuses. Activision says that historical events are the main source of inspiration behind the stories in Call of Duty. Other personalities that have been featured in the instalments are John F. Kennedy and Fidel Castro.

The franchise has sold 100 million plus units ever since it was launched back in the year of 2003. Initially the series was targeted to PCs but later expanded to handheld video units and consoles. A press release also said that Zombies mode will be added to Advanced Warfare like it was done for the previous instalments. Only the $50 Season Pass of the game will include this feature according to GameStop. The following four DLC features including their multiplayer maps will be included in the Season Pass – Ascendance, Havoc, Reckoning and Supremacy. However the date of release of DLC hasn’t been announced by Activision. Those who will buy the Season Pass will have access to the Atlas Gorge multiplayer map right from the launch. The press release however, hasn’t made clear if Zombies mode will be available out of Season Pass or not. A new special promotion has been announced by Activision for the owners of last – gen Advanced Warfare which is that they can upgrade to this version for free. But this free upgradation won’t allow you access full features of the game.
