Facebook to add Friend-To-Friend payment feature in Messenger

Facebook is going to introduce a new feature to the messenger which is called friend-to-friend payment. Such rumors are there from a while regarding the new feature of Facebook, but now few images which have come out show the new feature, which is used to allow the user to send money to another friend in just a few clicks, which is done through registering a debit card and setting up a pin code. TechCrunch has got the images from a computer science student which includes a screenshot of the feature in action. For now the Facebook has limited the payment transactions between two people only, but it is said that in code there is notes which shows that the multiple payment attachments also will be supported in future.

It is not yet decided that whether Facebook is going to charge the users for the transactions or not, but it is believed that for each transaction the cost would be between $40 and $50 for Facebook. As of now the Facebook keeps the transaction private, change in charges also may applicable in future. Facebook has recently appointed David Marcus the ex-PayPal president as the head of its Messenger app. This makes the users to think more on the new feature. Zuckerberg has conveyed to the investors that Facebook was not planning for the mobile payments back in July, but now as the things are seen it is different. It is believed that Facebook will initially launch the service in US first in the next few months, it will be released to the world after some more time.
