Android 5.0 Lollipop: Be together not the same

“Be together not the same” is the new ad slogan promoting Android as a platform. These ads are 15 – 30 second spots; Google plans to use these ads on TV & YouTube. It’s the new Android, which is friendlier & accessible has been announced. Google intends Android to rank high but not second to Samsung or HTC.

The new ad slogan “Be together not the same” Google wish to promote that Android is the official operating system of everyone which is everywhere. And Google promotes the Android’s uniting differences through its many screen sizes, form factors and prices.

As per the preview at Google I/O: Lollipop is the largest release on Android with more than 5,000 new APIs for developers. Lollipop is so flexibly designed so that it works on all major devices with almost with an easy customization so that it fits in all the ways possible.

Lollipop is meant for an easiest way to pick up & enjoy all the things left that may be songs, photos, apps or even searches on Android devices immediately across all other screens from phones, tablets & Television too, thus Lollipop helps to remain connected together.

Lollipop comes with a Material Design, fluid & purposeful motion so as to cope & balance the experience remains same with the same feel when user switches from one screen to another. It comes with more tangible interaction which means the content responds to your touch in the most intuitive way & also responds to your voice.

And with Lollipop any information will not be missed at any moment. As the notifications appear even on locked screens of Android, even tablet shows off inbox along with the message & the watch will pop up the new emails as soon as they arrive.

Lollipop has thrown more control options so that settings of the device can be adjusted so that important notifications & people to reach while going on important schedules & even can remain in with the updates without being disturbed over a locked screen showing notifications.

A new feature, Battery saver will extend the life of the device over 90 minutes which proves to be helpful in times of far away from the power outlet.

And the personal freedom of users device is maintained by PIN, Password, pattern or by pairing with trusted device such as watch or car with smart lock. And even users can enable the features of multiple user accounts & guest user modes.

Lollipop runs on the Nexus 6, Nexus 9, and Nexus Player:

Nexus 6 was developed with Motorola. Nexus 6 features:

  • It has dual front facing stereo speakers, which are ideal for movies & games.

Nexus 9, a new tablet built with partnership of HTC. Nexus 9 features:

  • Nexus 9 has brushed metal sides.
  • It has 8.9 inch screen.
  • It is portable as it is small.
  • It is big enough to work.
  • It has a keyboard folio which magnetically attached & is folded into two different angles & rests in lap like laptops.

Nexus Player, a running Android TV: brought with collaboration with Asus. Nexus Player Features:

  • Nexus Player is the first device running Android TV.
  • It is also first kind of Android gaming device.
  • One can play Android games on HDTV with a gamepad.
  • And also can play games on phone.
  • It is a streaming media player for movies, music & videos.
  • It has Google cast ready feature that makes to cast favorite programs from chrome book or Android or ios phone or tablet to Television.

Both the Nexus 9 & Nexus Player will be available on pre-order from October 17. Nexus 9 will be available in store starting from November 3. Nexus 6 will be available on pre order in late October & in stores in November with options for an unlocked version through Play store, or a monthly contract or installment plan through carriers, including AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, and Verizon. Android 5.0 Lollipop, which comes on Nexus 6, Nexus 9 and Nexus Player, will also be available on Nexus 4, 5, 7, 10 and Google Play edition devices in the coming weeks.
