The phones have advanced unibody enclosure, which is made of anodized aluminum, which helps it to conform with the shaped glass display; hence the customers get the smooth surface throughout. This new graphics technology will be a dream come true for the gamers, as they will be able to get the console feel in their phone.
The phones also have advanced iSight and FaceTime HD cameras due to the A8 chip. The iSight camera has a new feature called the Focus Pixels, which helps in auto focus. The Plus model also has the optical image stabilization technology, which will take care of the common shaking problem and reduce the subject motion. The video has also been improved in these versions, with the increase of the frame rates, it has been increased to 60fps for 1080p video and 240fps for the slo-mo feature. Even the FaceTime HD camera’s captures has been improved by more light capturing sensor, larger f/2.2 aperture. Burst mode and HDR video has been added in the new features.
The Apple pay feature available in both the models is a convenient and secure mode of payment. The users can make payments for any physical goods, services in stores or apps also. It technology actually works one a finger touch. All the user need to do is hold their phone near the contactless reader, and keep their finger on the Touch ID. They do not need to unlock their phone neither start an app. The feature also gives the user the benefit of one touch purchase within the apps, where there is no need to put in the credit card details nor the shipping details. The information of the payment made is strictly confidential and are kept in an encrypted form, within the secure element, that is a chip within the iPhone.
Apple has yet again proved that only they can have the best combination of hardware, software and services all in a phone. The prices should not be a concern at all for the company though. The iPhone 6 is in the range of $199 (US) to $399 (US) along with a 2 year contract. The Plus version is priced at $299 (US) to $499 (US) with a 2 year contract.
