LG Electronics has unveiled its new mid range smart phone; the LG G3 Beat. It is being touted as the successor of LG G2 and a smaller version of the company’s flagship smart phone LG G3. LG Electronics developed the mid range version of G3 to address the growing demand for the low to midrange smart phones among customers. With the G3 Beat they have sought to bring a device to the customers which is capable of running all the popular apps and yet is quite compact and low priced.
The G3 Beat comes with a 5 inch bezel display compared to the 5’5 inch G3. Running on Android KitKat, G3 Beat has most of the premium features that are available in its bigger version. The phone is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It has 1 GB RAM and 8 GB on board memory. G3 Beat has two cameras, an 8 megapixel primary rear camera and a 1.3 megapixel secondary front camera. On both counts Beat lags behind as the flagship smart phone G3 has 2 GB RAM, 16 GB device memory and 13.1-megapixel and 2.1-megapixel primary and secondary cameras respectively.
G3 Beat has many of the premium features of G3 like laser auto focus, touch and shoot, smart keypad, and a similar Floating Arc metallic design etc. The device will go on sale in Korea on July 18th and will be made available worldwide quite soon. The device will come in three colors; Metallic Black, Silk White, Shine Gold. No information about the pricing has been released yet.
