Next Generation Snapdragon 808 and 810 Announced

Qualcomm’s upcoming snapdragon processors and 20nm radios are cutting edge chips having the latest Adreno 400 – class GPU and updated CPU cores. These are very different from the company’s earlier launches – snapdragon 801 and 805. Qualcomm has also announced two new next – gen chips – snapdragon 808 and snapdragon 810. The latter will provide a high – end solution for performance problems. It will come with a quad – core ARM cortex – A57 along with 4 side cortex – 53 CPUs. Both these chips use a big – little design but with asymmetries in their core layout design. These new chipsets enable a number of user experiences. Performance is accelerated with optimized ARMv8/64 bit and Adreno 430. The battery survives for a longer time with advanced power management, advanced packaging, 20nm process and LPDDR4 memory. The wiFi will be able to achieve higher speeds with 2 streams 802.11ac.

With low power integration and low cost, the GPS will serve better and will support global constellations too. Gestures, ultrasound pen and voice activation add to the new ways of interacting with the device. Now you will be able to capture videos in ultra HD and playback at low power. Camera supports HDR video, chromaflash and UbiFocus for better photos. Voice quality has been made more superior with Fluence™ noise cancellation and HD voice. By and all the cortex – A57 is a very capable processor. This means that a pair of them can indeed drive well a high – end smartphone.
