BANGALORE (Feb 09, 2014) — An exclusive rapid fire interview with Actress Aditi Chengappa. Aditi was born in Bangalore. Her father, Raj Chengappa, a Kannadiga, is the Editor-in-Chief of The Tribune Group of Newspapers, while her mother, Usha Chengappa, a Tamilian, is the Delhi Centre Head at Bharat Thakur’s Artistic Yoga.
She made her film debut in Telugu film Thakita Thakita. Her Tamil debut is Konjam Koffee Konjam Kaadhal, which is yet to release. She has completed a Hindi film, titled X, which is directed by 11 filmmakers. She is shooting for Gunasekhar’s Telugu 3D period-drama Rudhramadevi, in which she plays Rudrama Devi’s sister Ganapamba. Mohith Agadi: What made you chose the one that you are doing now?
Aditi Chengappa: I’m working on a historical movie called Rudramadevi, it’s been a dream to work in an epic period film so i’m thrilled to be part of this project.
Mohith: What do you do in your free time?
Aditi: I’m very passionate about music, i sing and play the piano. I also absolutely love gaming, especially Mortal Kombat on playstation 😀
Mohith: What else would you be if you weren’t a actress?
Aditi: Probably a musician or a teacher!
Mohith: Tell us about the best part of your work
Aditi: There are two things i love about my job, firstly that you get to be someone else for the whole time you’re shooting, like a whole new person with different desires than yours and don’t have to face any real consequences heehee! And second would definitely be travelling to new places, i love to travel!
Mohith: Who is your inspiration/role model?
Aditi: My father, Raj Chengappa is my biggest inspiration. I love how he’s lived his life, striving to achieve every goal he’s had in mind since he was my age. He teaches me to believe in my dreams..
Mohith: What is your favorite holiday spot/food/gadget?
Aditi: Right now my favorite holiday spot is home!! Because i get to be with family. Favorite food is very hard to pick, i LOVE food! Current favorite gadget are these funky water dance speakers i bought from bangkok 🙂
Mohith: What is your next project?
Aditi: I’ve signed a tamil film that shall be announced soon. In the meanwhile a thriller i starred in called Ra should be releasing soon, as well as a hindi film called X where i’m opposite Rajat Kapoor.
Mohith: What would be the first thing you would do if today was your last day?
Aditi: I would call my parents and tell them how grateful i am for the wonderful life they’ve given me.
Mohith: What’s your vision of a perfect society?
Aditi: One where everyone respects each other and all of god’s creations, especially our precious environment, animals, birds, all living things. A society that runs on love and gratitude.
Mohith: What’s your own definition of happiness?
Aditi: Being able to enjoy the simplest pleasures of life, that are absolutely free. Like the sound of leaves rustling in the breeze. The beautiful kingfishers that sit outside my house every morning. We’ve got so much to be happy about 🙂
Mohith: What were your dreams as a child?
Aditi: I wanted to be an astronaut 🙂
Mohith: Where do you see your self in “5,10” years?
Aditi: Travelling, singing, eating delicious food and celebrating life. ..
