A horrible and despicable incident took place in a Nigerian school when some terrorists belonging to the Boko Haram terrorist group, which fights for an Islamist state in Nigeria have murdered 27 innocent school boys in a college in Buni Yadi, located in North Eastern Nigeria.
This is not the first attack of its kind. Even in June, 22 students were brutally killed by these terrorists. In the last one week alone, more than 200 innocent people were killed and an entire village razed to the ground. The violence in Nigeria and the attacks on civilians have not decreased even after the the offensive launched by it’s President Mr. Goodluck Jonathan in the month of May after declaring a state of emergency in the three North-Eastern states.
However Mr Jonathan said that the offensive had some successes against the Boko Haram group and also added that their government was working with Cameroon authorities to prevent terrorists from slipping over the border after an attack. The border with Cameroon, predominantly hilly Gwoza region is occupied by terrorists who attack innocent civilians who they accuse of being supportive to the present government.
