NASDAQ CEO and President, Friedman downplayed and distanced herself from the talks on launch for Bitcoin future trading. She admitted that Bitcoin definitely has a future.
Nasdaq is planning to come up with future contracts for Bitcoin in the first half of the year 2018 which would help investors to predict and trade money on the future price of the currency.
Terry Duffy, CEO of CME Group, said that the group decided to introduce the contract owing to the increasing interest of the clients in cryptocurrency. The new contract will be based on the Bitcoin Reference Rate.
