Trump believes Barack Obama to be responsible for protests

In a recent interview on Fox News “Fox and Friends”, current US President Donald Trump accused former President Barack Obama of fomenting unrest against his administration. Since his elevation, republicans across the country have faced protests from angry mobs. He also alleged that Obama is behind the leaks to the media that has been plaguing the Trump administration for the last month.

Brian Kilmeade, the interviewer states that Obama’s organization seems to be organization of some of the protests that Trump and other Republicans are seeing across the nation. He then asks Trump whether he believes Barack Obama is behind this and is it a violation of the unspoken president’s code.

“No, I think he is behind it,” said Trump. “I also think it’s politics, that’s the way it is.” “I think that President Obama is probably behind it because his people are certainly behind it,” Trump added. “In terms of him being behind things, that’s politics and it will probably continue.”

The organization in question is the “Organizing for Action” organization that was founded post Obama’s 2012 reelection. The organization is chaired by Obama’s former deputy chief of staff Jim Messina who served from 2009 to 2011. The organization describes itself as “a non-partisan, issue advocacy organization committed to growing the grassroots movement by training, educating, and activating civically engaged community members across the country” and supports and advocates the positions held by the former president. However, the organization is a nonprofit that cannot directly support political candidates.
