EmoJam launches the world’s first musical emoji keyboard

Paris, France. (October 15, 2015) – EmoJam, (www.emojam.com) is launching EmoJam Beta with original musical emoji series created exclusively for the platform, it was announced today by Louise-Marie Marguet, CEO, EmoJam. EmoJam aims to rethink the way you express your feelings online. How? By combining music and emoji… The experience doesn’t stop there as the app curates the best music services in the industry so you don’t need to switch between apps to watch videos, shop or get the latest news.

Music is the soundtrack of our lives and artists say it better. The first original series premiere around 100 musical emoji from Beyoncé to Flo Rida. Additional musical emoji from trending and emerging artists are premiering every week. Users are also able to make suggestions for musical emoji they need from the app. Following the launch of original series, the startup will roll out a customize section called “ENCORE”, allowing users to create their own musical emoji. Premiere dates are TBA.

Incubated at D-Incubator in Paris, the team is working closely with fans to tailor a fun tool. Artists such as Chuck D, Lilly Wood & the Prick, Nate Ruess have expressed interest in collaborating with EmoJam and Sony Music France has offered a letter of intent. The team is currently raising funds to accelerate the development and respond to the growing demand from artists, media and fans.

Since its Beta launch in September, EmoJam has gained more than 1,500 testers. According to a recent case study based on a 100-musical-emoji catalogue, EmoJam has seen an average of 50 per cent retention rate and 4 per cent of iOS testers have downloaded music on iTunes via EmoJam, a promising sign that EmoJam can become one of the most direct platforms for the artist’s fans to discover, share and buy music.

Having worked at record labels in New York and London, founder LouMa has music in her DNA. She can’t live without thinking about how to help artists to bloom. “There are more than 6 billion emoji sent every day all around the world. But the original emoji missed something… Something that can take you to a deeper emotional level… and that’s music…” and EmoJam was born, voilà! The ambitious French founder teamed up with well-rounded engineers and illustrators and began creating the first musical emoji keyboard ever made.
