Australia and England in one-off test for Women’s Ashes 2015

The women’s ashes 2015 next match is between England and Australia and will take place in Canterbury from 11th august to 14th august. England will attempt to take over Australia by overhauling their 2 point deficit. The four day match will be held at St. Lawrence ground and seems to be more worthy of 4 points. England won the title in 2014 and is making efforts to retain the ashes this time too.

Australia even though having lost to England in the opening day match, won the next two and is now leading by 4-2 in this multi – format series based on points. Two of the England’s team – Fran Wilson and Amy Jones have been replaced. Since 1934 England has played a total of 47 matches, out of which it has won 9 and lost 11 and rest were a draw. The recent test match that England played was against India last year at Wormsley. England was bowled out on 92 and so lost by 6 wickets. Charlotte Edwards (Captain) said “It’s been nice to get away for a couple of weeks, reflect on it, learn from it and move on.

We go out there in our ODI cricket and look to get wickets and score runs. We’ve just got to do it for an extended period of time, and that’s what we’re saying to the players. We want them to still be positive and express themselves. We’re looking forward to trying to get back into this series, and four points would be fantastic right now if we can get them”. In last year’s solitary test match held at Waca in Perth, England has won by 61 runs. The series will see 3 twenty20 internationals each worth 2 points to success.
