US Presidential Campaign: Hillary’s ‘Four Fights’ to Veterans

The presidential campaign in the US is already on, in full swing. With Donald Trump planning to run for the presidential elections, this just gets better. Likewise, Hillary Clinton is also campaigning hard and meeting people, listening to them and putting forward her plans. On Thursday, the Democratic Presidential candidate addressed a town hall meeting about the issues faced by the veterans at the VFW Post 9211 in Reno.

Hillary Clinton has been very busy campaigning and VFW Post 9211 was her second stop of the day in Nevada. Before that she was at the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials’ 32nd annual Conference at the Aria where she spoke on The Las Vegas Strip. She also raised the issues about guns and race as there were a number of incidents reported related to race. While addressing the Reno audience, Hillary Clinton told them if elected as president she’ll wage four wars and win them. These four wars are: Building an economy for tomorrow and not for yesterday, Strengthening American families who are suffering from economic stresses, maintaining the best military in the world and revitalizing the American democracy and get a stable government.

There was a quick and good response from the public listening to her. The crowd applauded and commended her speech as it addressed the core issues. Further, she also assured the people that she will look into the matters related to the veterans. The prime issues for these veterans are the long durations for which they have to wait before they get any medical benefits and medical care. She said that taking care of the veterans is part of the solemn duty of Americans, whether the veterans themselves served or anyone in their family did.

She then participated on veteran’s panel lamenting young veterans’ issues with post-traumatic stress disorder. She also stressed the fact that these veterans faced many problems getting into workforce or schools post serving. She intended to crackdown on the colleges that saddle former service members with heavy debts.

Nevada campaigns play key role in the road to Democratic nominations in the early stages and with many other Presidential candidates scheduling their campaign appearances in the state this week which includes the Republican Ben Carson and Democratic Sen. Bernie sanders, the fight is going to get tough.
